S1 Rear Quarter Lights:
With flush mount S1 lights figured out in the front fenders of our JK camper, it was only natural we'd find this spot out back to support another pair. Adding these really filled out the side lighting nicely and made night wheeling a dream. The specific lights we used were these flush mounted work/scene S1 lights from Baja Designs.
Installing the S1 Lights:
We mounted them using same drilling method we detailed thoroughly in this article about installing S1 lights in the front fenders. The centerline of the hole ended up 7.25" from the bottom of the flat face of the rear quarter and 1.5" from the panel seam. The only real annoyance was needing to drill through 2 layers of steel as there is an inner piece that would otherwise disallow installation. You can see this demonstrated in the last pic below:

Final Thoughts:
We've only had these installed for a short while, so we don't have a ton of trail time with them yet. The little bit of time we have spent using them has been very nice though, and we look forward to way more night wheeling now that visibility to the sides is so good.
